Furthermore, commissioners participated in a swearing-in ceremony for new members and acknowledged that a legitimate protest against the zone change had been filed, which will impact the future voting requirements for city council approval.

The Council held a study session to discuss two primary agenda items: the 38th Avenue refresh project and the events venue business licensing program. The discussion regarding the 38th Avenue project included an overview of preliminary design concepts developed by RVI, focusing on potential improvements for placemaking, pedestrian safety, and connectivity, as well as trade-offs related to construction impacts and budget.
