The Oxnard Harbor District Board Meeting included discussions and actions on several key items. The Board approved consent items, received reports from the CEO & Port Director, and reviewed the Procurement and Policy Schedules. There were updates on upcoming community events and press reports pertaining to the District. The Board also considered and approved a modification to a lease with NRC Environmental Services and a purchase agreement with Datastew LLC for IT support and equipment. The preliminary operating budget, capital outlay plan, and debt schedule for the fiscal year 2016-2017 were adopted, setting a public hearing for the final budget adoption. Additionally, the Board received updates from the Chief Finance & Administrative Officer, and discussed real property negotiations in a closed session.

The Oxnard Harbor District Board Meeting included discussions and actions on several resolutions, including support for the Ventura County Transportation Measure Investment/Expenditure Plan, calling for an election of Harbor Commissioners, and requesting consolidation of the Oxnard Harbor District election with statewide elections. The board also honored Captain Jennifer F. Williams for her contributions to the Port of Hueneme and the U.S. Coast Guard. The meeting also covered the presentation and approval of the final budgets for Fiscal Year 2016-2017, establishment of salaries for non-MOU employees, approval of vendor and purchase order lists, and the calendar of events.
