The Board discussed a liability case involving the University regarding a horse used during an inspection trip and voted to employ legal counsel. A resolution was adopted to support and encourage fundraising efforts for a Young Men's Christian Association building in Reno. Additionally, the Board adopted the annual Register, accepted the resignation of Professor Thurtell, approved faculty promotions for Jay Carpenter, J. Claude Jones, and Charles S. Knight, and appointed Dr. Charles Haseman as Professor of Mathematics and Mechanics.
