Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake Asset Management Plan 2025
The Asset Management Plan for the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake evaluates proposed Levels of Service (LOS) options and selects a preferred approach to ensure sustainable delivery of municipal services. The plan prioritizes managing a diverse portfolio of infrastructure assets, including road networks, bridges, culverts, water and wastewater networks, stormwater networks, facilities, land improvements, vehicles, and machinery & equipment. Incorporating extensive resident and council feedback, the plan aims to address key infrastructure priorities such as maintaining well-functioning roads and stormwater systems. The adopted financial strategy commits to funding tax-funded assets at 70% of the Average Annual Requirement over 20 years and rate-funded assets at 100% of the AAR over 5-20 years, with the goal of improving asset conditions and reducing long-term risks.
