The Board reviewed and approved numerous procurement and contractual matters, including agreements for homelessness prevention programs, disability support services, insurance policy purchases, and various civil engineering and infrastructure projects, such as water system improvements and central heating plant operations. Additionally, the Board authorized procurement exemptions and amendments to existing consultant agreements, along with approving municipal recycling information services.

The Commission addressed the approval of Resolution 16/2026 regarding the administrative hearing for GRIIN Construction Inc. Additionally, the Board authorized the issuance of new Permits to Operate for fourteen companies, the conversion of permits to licenses for twenty-one companies, and the renewal of licenses for sixty-one companies. The status of William R. Boyar DBA Mahopac Scrap and Container was updated, noting the revocation of the company license. Furthermore, the Commission approved Resolution 20/2026 to update fee structures for license classes D and F. Finally, a report on seventeen recently issued violations for unlicensed operations, unregistered vehicles, and failure to display decals was presented.

The County Board of Legislators discussed and signed new visual gun safety legislation, which mandates the inclusion of visual warnings in gun shops and upon permit issuance. This law builds upon existing requirements for written notices and aims to educate residents on the risks associated with firearms, including suicide, domestic violence, homicide, and accidental shootings. The legislation also establishes connections to crisis prevention and suicide lifeline resources to help reduce preventable deaths.
