The Commission recognized officers with state awards for occupant safety and impaired driving enforcement. The Commission approved the promotion of a firefighter to the position of Fire Lieutenant via Municipal Order 178. Resident concerns regarding traffic calming measures were addressed. Several ordinances received their first readings, including updates to Alcohol Beverage Control, a new personnel and pay classification plan, and budget and budget amendment plans for the upcoming fiscal year. A resolution was adopted to execute a Municipal Road Aid Cooperative Agreement. Additionally, updates were provided on the Wayman Branch pier wall construction, and the agreement for the fiscal year 2026 audit was approved.
