The Board received an investment performance review and market summary for the previous year from PFM, covering equity and fixed income returns, portfolio allocation, and performance relative to peers. A discussion was held regarding Pension plan design, resulting in the adoption of the Rule of 85 for early retirement and a reduction in the early retirement penalty. Additionally, the Board conducted an annual Investment Policy Statement review, performed an annual evaluation of investment manager and actuarial services, and approved an RFQ process for the purchase of new pension management software. Updates were also provided regarding the upcoming Annual GAPPT Conference.
