It addresses critical areas such as managing population growth, demographic, economic, and housing shifts, and balancing 14 Growth Management Act (GMA) goals. The overarching vision for Snohomish County by 2044 is to create a resilient, vibrant, and inclusive community where all residents can thrive and experience a high quality of life.

The committee held its first meeting for the reestablishment of the Agricultural Advisory Committee to the Assessor. The meeting covered the committee's purpose and role as defined by RCW 84.34.145 and WAC 458-30-345, specifically focusing on its advisory capacity to the assessor for current use programs. Discussions included meeting organization and frequency, the assessor's valuation cycle for properties, and how income-based valuation for agricultural land uses lease rate data provided by committee members.
