The 2026 Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) Plan details the City of Kent's annual actions to comply with its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. It encompasses nine core components: stormwater planning, public education and outreach, public involvement, MS4 mapping and documentation, illicit discharge detection and elimination, control of runoff from new development and construction sites, stormwater management for existing development, source control, and operations and maintenance. The plan aims to protect water quality, reduce pollutant discharge from the municipal stormwater system, and meet state treatment requirements.

The council discussed the recognition of a new neighborhood council, authorized IT purchases through a cooperative agreement, approved a budget adjustment ordinance, and authorized the 2027 work plan and operating budget for the regional housing and homelessness partnership.
