The Canton Central School District's Professional Development Plan aims to enhance instructional practice and improve student achievement by fostering a community culture that values and supports education. The meeting will include updates on the 2024-25 school year opening, fitness center, BOE policy manual, student member BOE, a possible trip to Costa Rica, the NYS Regionalization Initiative, capital outlay project, and a dinner with Regent Catania. Discussion and action items include establishing an expendable scholarship, accepting donations, and addressing appointments and resignations of staff members, including teachers, aides, food service workers, student tutors, lifeguards, and substitutes. The agenda also includes a consent agenda covering leave of absence, CSE/CPSE placement recommendations, and a financial report.
