The plan also focuses on creating a culture of belonging, improving student assessments, expanding academic options for at-risk students, promoting pro-social behavior, integrating technology, and enriching student opportunities.

The Smart Schools Investment Plan focuses on upgrading classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Key areas include providing interactive whiteboards, laptops, Chromebooks for teachers and students, and desktop workstations for the CTE program. The plan aims to improve differentiated instruction, expand learning opportunities, and address the needs of students with disabilities and English language learners. The meeting will include updates on the 2024-25 school year opening, fitness center, BOE policy manual, student member BOE, a possible trip to Costa Rica, the NYS Regionalization Initiative, capital outlay project, and a dinner with Regent Catania. Discussion and action items include establishing an expendable scholarship, accepting donations, and addressing appointments and resignations of staff members, including teachers, aides, food service workers, student tutors, lifeguards, and substitutes.
