The Village of Wellington's Long-Range Financial Plan (LRFP) serves as a multi-year roadmap for Fiscal Years 2026-2031. It aims to ensure financial sustainability and high-quality municipal service delivery by outlining a vision for 'A Great Hometown' built on five fundamental goals: Neighborhood Renaissance, Economic Development, Protecting Our Investment, Respecting the Environment, and Responsive Government. The plan identifies five strategic focus areas: Infrastructure & Utilities, Public Safety & Resilience, Quality of Life, Economic Development & Fiscal Sustainability, and Community Engagement & Governance, integrating strategic and financial planning to guide resource allocation and address issues affecting the Village's financial condition.

The committee meeting included a tour report of the show grounds and discussions regarding the Recreational Trails Program grant for future trail upgrades. The committee reviewed the draft State of the Equestrian Preserve Report, discussed land development regulations related to equestrian development in light of legislative statutes, and approved the Equestrian Trails Master Plan along with its budget. Staff provided updates on various fencing, pathway, and crossing projects. Additionally, the committee considered a proposal to shift from monthly to quarterly meetings, and public comments were heard concerning showground construction and regulatory grammar.
