The committee reviewed and accepted the 2024 Emergency Management Year in Review report.

The commission reviewed and approved a discretionary use development permit for a Campground Minor and Recreational Vehicle Storage Minor, subject to specific operational conditions. It also approved a permitted use development permit for an accessory building, which required relaxations regarding maximum height and size. Additionally, the commission addressed a subdivision application concerning an agricultural residence removal, ultimately referring the matter to the applicant and administration for further review and additional information.

The commission reviewed multiple development permit applications, including requests for accessory buildings with varying setback relaxations and renewal applications for home businesses. Actions included the denial of one accessory building permit due to setback concerns, and the approval of several others with specific conditions related to drainage, landscaping, and construction requirements. Additionally, the commission approved a subdivision application, subject to conditions such as drainage planning, septic system compliance, and road widening agreements.

The committee held a meeting which included a closed session for the discussion of an audit service plan. Following the closed session, the committee formally accepted the audit service plan, which included considerations related to advice from officials and testing procedures under the Access to Information Act.

The committee reviewed the 2025 Emergency Management year in review and discussed the 2026 Emergency Management Agency plans and programs. Additionally, the committee directed administration to submit an application to the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta for a FireSmart grant.
