The commission discussed a cease and desist order issued for property at 299 West Flat Hill Road regarding unauthorized clearing activities along a watercourse. The property owner explained that the clearing was intended to remove debris and invasive vegetation to prepare the site for a future orchard project. The commission determined that the cease and desist order would remain in effect until a site visit could be conducted. Additionally, the commission requested that the property owner submit a site plan detailing completed and future work, including a planting plan. The meeting also addressed questions regarding property access and the potential for a formal agricultural designation.
