This document presents the initial findings of the Maryland Advanced Air Mobility Council, established to make recommendations on how Maryland can best leverage and regulate Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) systems. It identifies and summarizes current opinions and anticipated focus areas, including statewide advantages, AAM opportunities, safety, public outreach, state and local roles, workforce development, regional deployments, infrastructure, low altitude airspace policy, legal framework, and statewide oversight. The findings aim to strategically position Maryland to maximize the economic, societal, and environmental benefits of AAM.

This document details a strategic considerations discussion for the DC Metroplex BWI Community Roundtable (BWI-RT). The discussion aims to re-evaluate the organization's purpose and processes, and identify future priorities. Key considerations include maintaining and building relationships with the FAA and MAA, collaborating with MAA leadership, and engaging stakeholders to improve noise and other pollution issues. The BWI-RT also aims to advance transparency, community engagement, and seek positive solutions, with a suggested near-term plan of action involving charter updates, new committees, and refined meeting structures.

This document provides an update to the Airport Noise Zone (ANZ) for Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall). It outlines the process for updating noise contours for current (2025) and future (2030, 2035) conditions, as mandated by Maryland law to control incompatible land development. The update includes a comprehensive review and revision of the BWI Marshall Noise Abatement Plan (NAP), incorporating stakeholder input, to minimize noise impact on surrounding communities while ensuring safe and efficient airport operations.

The meeting includes an executive director's report, updates on planning and engineering including COMAR final actions for airport noise zones, and a marketing and air service development update. The agenda also covers next steps for commission committees, including air service development, finance, and economic development, as well as a discussion on the process for commission review and approvals.

The committee meeting focused on establishing the structure, protocol, and scope for the newly formed Air Service Development Committee. Key discussion topics included the selection of a committee chair and record-keeper, the decision to operate without a formal charter, and the determination of primary focus areas such as an Air Service Incentive Program for BWI Marshall Airport, cargo operations, and the economic impact on air service. The committee also planned an upcoming training program and discussed administrative inquiries regarding compensation for committee service.
