Finance Committee Meeting
The committee discussed the acceptance of the 2025 Justice Assistance Grant, specifically focusing on new conditions regarding information sharing with federal agencies. Members expressed concerns about these conditions being overly broad and requested further clarification from the legal department. The committee debated the risks of non-compliance, whether these conditions differed from existing federal law, and the potential consequences of declining the grant, which would require the city to self-fund necessary portable radio equipment.

Zoning and Planning Board of Appeals Regular Meeting
The Board of Appeals conducted a hearing concerning two variance requests. The first appeal involved a request to deviate from the side yard setback requirement for an attached porch at a residential property, which was approved based on the narrow lot dimensions and existing neighborhood character. The second appeal addressed a request to deviate from front yard parking standards for an attached single-stall garage at a two-family residence, involving technical considerations of driveway width and placement relative to the primary entrance.
