Village of Oak Park Finance Committee Meeting Minutes
The committee reviewed a long-term funding strategy for police and fire pension plans. Discussions focused on seven funding scenarios, including a concept of revenue reprogramming where capital revenues are directed toward pension contributions while utilizing tax-exempt bond issuances for capital projects. The committee reached a consensus to further develop a specific scenario that combines revenue reprogramming with a 2% annual levy growth limit. Future steps include integrating the updated police pension actuarial report and presenting a combined analysis at the next meeting.
