The meeting included a public hearing and the formal adoption of Budget Amendment No. 2 for 2026. Key discussions focused on financial adjustments for capital infrastructure projects, including the West Plant Land Expansion and aquifer storage and recovery wells, as well as changes to operating expenditures.
The Board of Trustees reviewed a recommendation to approve quotes for door access and server upgrades. The project, costing $71,057.71, aims to replace an aging communication system for door access and security cameras that has reached its end of life and currently causes performance delays. The upgrades involve installing new antennas, configuring a new server, and upgrading switches to ensure robust performance for security monitoring. The Board considered a sole-source recommendation due to the sensitive nature of the security work and established relationships with existing contractors.
The Board of Trustees discussed and approved a resolution for the 2026 Water Main Replacement project on Railroad Avenue. This action initiates the process to award a construction contract for replacing failing water main segments and removing a redundant water main from service. The Board authorized the issuance of a notice to bidders, set a deadline for receiving bids, and established the date and time for a public hearing to review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
The Board of Trustees met to formalize the construction process for the Pheasant Ridge Water Main Replacement project. The board adopted a resolution to order the construction of public improvements, including the necessary infrastructure upgrades for the Pheasant Ridge development. This resolution also established the timeline for taking bids and scheduled a future public hearing to review the plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the project.
