The board discussed and performed a review of bylaws and updated the committee membership. The meeting included the election of officers, a workshop review regarding the IPPW, and comprehensive department updates covering dispatch services, health department initiatives, EMS training systems, Red Cross outreach, and fire department vehicle acquisitions.

The meeting included reports from the Health Department regarding school immunizations, testing, and potential radio equipment replacement. The Fire Department discussed plans to inspect and assume control of the 400 radio system and reported on hosting upcoming Kansas State Fire Firefighters Association classes. Information Technology updates focused on the need for equipment cycling and training opportunities at the courthouse. The group also discussed the need for further Incident Command System training for both exercises and real-world events.

The meeting included a presentation on the SCTelcom Smart Town program for first responders and set a date for a severe weather table top exercise. Department updates were provided covering the progress of the new dispatch center, discussion on a gatekeeper program for at-risk citizens, dispatch CAD alerts for medical needs, school reunification plans in crises, staffing needs at the Health Department, updated EMS certification requirements, and the repurposing of a transport vehicle by the Department on Aging.
