A public hearing was held regarding updates to the Clark County Stormwater Code and Stormwater Manual to maintain compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. The council processed items on the consent agenda and separate business agenda, involving various actions, motions, and votes on presented items.

This Economic Development Action Plan outlines three primary strategies for Clark County: identifying, assessing, and maintaining nodes of growth; reducing regulatory barriers that inhibit economic development; and increasing the county's capacity to support and participate in economic development. Each strategy is supported by specific action items designed to foster economic growth and competitiveness within the region.

The symposium focused on collaborative stormwater management efforts, including education and outreach initiatives such as student video contests and behavior change campaigns targeting commercial dumpster maintenance. Attendees reviewed progress under the interlocal agreement, discussed monitoring efforts, and shared updates on watershed stewardship programs. Representatives from various municipal and county agencies introduced their roles in infrastructure, code enforcement, public health, and conservation, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation in protecting water quality.

The Clark County Comprehensive Plan is a long-term policy guide for managing growth and development, aiming to establish a 20-year vision for the county. It encompasses 14 elements, including mandatory areas such as land use, housing, transportation, economic development, and natural resources, alongside optional elements like schools and historic preservation. This plan, last updated in 2016, is currently undergoing an update process, known as CLARK2045, to align with state law, accommodate population growth, and reinforce the county's positive characteristics, with completion anticipated by December 31, 2025.
