Data Centers Task Force Task Force Meeting
The meeting focused on the role of water and energy usage in relation to data centers. Presentations included an overview of the current water usage by existing smaller-scale data centers, a discussion on cooling technologies such as evaporative versus closed-loop systems, and how these facilities fit within the context of current regional drought conservation efforts. Additionally, the committee reviewed the capacity assurance program, which is used to evaluate the potential impact of new large-scale developments on local water and wastewater infrastructure to ensure system reliability and prevent negative impacts on residents and existing customers.
