The Academic Council meeting included discussions and actions on various academic matters. Consent items were approved, covering changes to programs and courses across multiple departments, including Animal Science, Chemistry, Geoscience & Physics, Criminal Justice, Communication Studies, Curriculum and Instruction, Government, Legal Studies, and Philosophy, History, Geography, and GIS, Leadership and Strategic Studies, Marketing & Computer Information Systems, Med Lab, Pub Hlth, & Nutr Sci, and Public Administration. Non-consent items included new course requests and program changes from the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication, Department of Chemistry, Geosciences, & Physics, College of Health Sciences, Department of Health and Human Performance, Department of History, Geography, & GIS, Department of Leadership and Strategic Studies, Department of Marketing and Computer Information Systems and School of Kinesiology. The council also discussed credit for prior learning procedures, the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar, Course Program of Study (CPoS), and Summer/ Fall Pre-Registration Updates and Upcoming FTIC Orientations.
