Canton Street Project Working Group Working Group
This meeting served as the first kickoff meeting for the Canton Street Project Working Group, established to inform the redesign process for the Canton Street Project following the Select Board's decision in October 2023 to proceed with a revised preliminary design. The discussion included establishing governing principles for the group, emphasizing mutual respect, a forward-looking perspective, and open/creative thinking. Participants provided introductions detailing their background and connection to Westwood and the project, with safety, environmental impact, and finding a compromise solution being key concerns voiced. The structure for future work, including presentations by the design consultant (Tec) and scheduling for subsequent meetings, was also reviewed.
