The Education First strategy, championed by KCTCS, is a student enrollment and retention initiative designed to empower Kentucky's workforce by enabling individuals to pursue education without compromising employment. This strategy fosters a network of 'Education First employers' who commit to providing tuition assistance, flexible scheduling, and active collaboration with educational institutions through mentorship and advisory roles. The overarching goal is to enhance educational access, improve student success from enrollment to completion, and elevate post-graduation outcomes for all Kentuckians by creating mutually beneficial partnerships between industry and community colleges.
