The primary objective is to remove systemic barriers to student learning and family self-sufficiency, promoting educational excellence and equity through integrated supports and engagement. Key priorities include enhancing academic support, ensuring families thrive, and enriching afterschool learning programs.

The board meeting included a closed session regarding student discipline, labor negotiations, real property, and a superintendent evaluation. Open session items involved a land acknowledgement, the approval of agenda amendments, and association reports from labor groups. Presentations were made regarding the California dashboard local indicators for the district and middle college, highlighting assessments on instructional materials, facilities, state academic standards, parent engagement, and school climate. Additionally, two new assistant principals were officially welcomed and acknowledged.

The meeting agenda includes a site walk, a review of the Measure Z expenditure report prepared by Key Analytics, and district project updates concerning the Elkhorn Village modernization and the Performing Arts Center at River City High School. Committee members also planned to address items for the upcoming meeting.
