This Comprehensive Water Plan serves as a roadmap for the Alderwood Water & Wastewater District, outlining its long-term direction and goals for water system management. The plan focuses on ensuring a reliable and high-quality water supply for residential, non-residential, and municipal uses, while accommodating growth and development. Key areas of focus include system description, related plans and agreements, conservation efforts, planning data and demand forecasting, system analysis, water system reliability, water quality compliance, facilities design and construction standards, maintenance and operations, emergency planning, personnel, information technology, capital improvement programs, and financial planning. The plan emphasizes efficient resource use, infrastructure maintenance, and preparedness for future challenges, including population growth and potential natural disasters, with a planning horizon extending to 2023.

The meeting included discussions and actions on several key areas. The board re-elected its current officers. A demonstration of the new Clearview Water Supply web page was presented, and the board discussed providing a phone number for public audio access to meetings before approving the draft web page. The Maintenance and Operations report highlighted a mild month with general housekeeping and landscaping, and AWWD staff conducted tests at pump stations. The Financial Report showed balances and expenditures, and the Engineering Report mentioned ongoing work with Kennedy Jenks and governance issues related to new assets.
