The Board of Directors discussed plans to host a presentation on the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority 2024 regional revenue measure at the upcoming General Membership meeting. Additionally, the board confirmed the cancellation of the July 2023 meeting and identified future topics of interest, including a tour of the Advanced Energy Center, legislative reports from Nancy Hall Bennett, and the Taxpayer Protection Act of 2024.

The committee meeting agenda included a presentation from Assembly Speaker pro Tempore Cecilia Aguiar-Curry regarding legislative updates.

The Board of Directors received a presentation regarding efforts and accomplishments related to addressing homelessness in Rohnert Park. Additionally, the Board discussed the 2023 meeting schedule, reaching a consensus to cancel the July meeting and coordinating future agenda topics including potential ballot measures for child care and fire services, as well as planning for the allocation of Measure O funds.

The association introduced a new clerk and received a report regarding a measure to address thresholds for passing local bonds and special taxes. Presentations were also delivered concerning the proposed regional affordable housing bond and a statewide ballot measure aimed at lowering the threshold for passing housing bonds. Additionally, the meeting included reports from city mayors regarding community events and updates from the legislative committee.
