Developed through continuous engagement with residents and businesses, the plan aims to foster thoughtful, sustainable growth aligned with community vision. It encompasses diverse areas including community celebrations, human relations initiatives, public safety enhancements, park developments, strategic partnerships for economic development, economic indicators analysis, sales tax trends, new business integration, infrastructure improvements, and maintaining fiscal strength through responsible budgeting and capital projects like a new Public Works Facility.

The Board meeting included proclamations for World Autism Acceptance Day, National Arab American Heritage Month, and Sikh Awareness and Appreciation Month. Public comments addressed concerns regarding the maintenance of rights-of-way and drainage ditches along 101st Street, as well as procedural concerns about meeting access. The Mayor recognized the village's Tree City USA status and the achievements of a local citizen.
