Clyde-Green Springs Exempted Village School District

The Clyde-Green Springs Schools Student Wellness & Success Plan (FY24) is a comprehensive framework designed to address the emotional, mental, behavioral, and physical well-being of students and staff, fostering a supportive learning environment. Key areas of focus include improving school culture, implementing support systems addressing state mandates (HB 123 and SB 288), providing tiered mental and behavioral health services, minimizing barriers to accessing counseling, and creating a sense of belonging. The plan outlines initiatives focused on mental and behavioral health counseling, child sexual abuse, dating violence, and sexual violence prevention, and district-wide professional development. Outcomes will be measured using student discipline data and Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) data.

The board meeting involved discussions on the spending plan for IDEA Part B Special Education and Title I-A federal funds. Financial reports, including the treasurer's report for February 2020, were reviewed and approved. Several personnel actions were addressed, including resignations, new hires, and the approval of supplemental payments for spring sports. Agreements with AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and College Credit Plus agreements with the University of Toledo and Tiffin University were approved. A resolution was passed regarding school operations during the COVID-19 shutdown. A memorandum of understanding with GLCAP Head Start Program and a resolution to join the Ohio School Pipeline Coalition were also approved. Gifts and donations were accepted. Finally, an executive session was held to discuss employment and compensation.
