Work includes Full-depth removal and reconstruction of the asphalt apron pavement. Reconstruction of a portion of the existing apron. The apron improvement area has exhibited cracking at the surface, likely due to weak subgrade conditions and poor drainage under the pavement section. Further, it is understood that the apron area has experience subgrade drainage issues with instances of groundwater seepage occurring up through the existing asphalt section. Based on our understanding, the existing apron is relatively flat-lying, and finished grades of the new reconstruction are anticipated to be very near the existing surface elevations to match the surrounding apron dimensions. It is anticipated that the apron will be reconstructed utilizing a flexible asphalt surface material over an aggregate base course.
