Key strategic areas include service strategies (school readiness, college readiness, and work readiness), organizational strategies (growth tools and innovation tools), and institutional strategies (city alignment, facilities development, and community engagement). The plan outlines specific initiatives with measurable outcomes, including improved literacy rates, increased college enrollment, workforce development, staff development, and community engagement. The plan utilizes a data-driven approach, a 3-5 year planning horizon, and a framework that incorporates risk and innovation models, as well as an idea-to-implementation process for new services.

The North Las Vegas City Council meeting included an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. A video presentation showcased the Care Court program, highlighting its progress and positive impact on participants. Updates were provided on the Care Court program, including grant applications, a warrant quashing event, and the development of a mentorship program for veterans.
