This document provides an overview of the Early College High School Program, a partnership between Avon Central School District and Genesee Community College, aligning with the district's mission to ignite individual passion and purpose and its vision for lifelong learning. The program aims to enable students to earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree with minimal college debt by offering two academic pathways: liberal arts/general studies and computer information systems. Key strategic elements include comprehensive student support, mandatory summer orientations and on-campus college courses, and the development of regional partnerships for job shadowing and internships. The ultimate goal is to prepare students for successful transitions to higher education and careers, fostering work-ready skills, financial stability, and community engagement within New York State.

The meeting included recognition of sectional winners from the track relay team and the first Unified Basketball Team members. The board discussed and approved several items, including tentative agreements with the Avon Support Staff Unit and the Avon Administrator's Association, and granted tenure to the Elementary Principal and the Director of Academic Programs. They also approved personnel appointments, agreements, contracts, transportation requests, disposal of library materials, textbook purchases, and high school courses with low enrollment. The UPK proposal for community-based collaboration from Kids Club was approved, as well as the bid proposal from Bella Paving for asphalt sealing and striping. The board adopted SEQRA resolutions for capital projects and capital outlay projects. Reports were presented from various school principals and directors, covering topics such as special education, instruction, personnel, budget and finance, athletics, and operations. The Superintendent shared updates on the SRO program, radon testing, construction progress, financial investments, and Erin's Law implementation. The meeting also included a discussion on the student Board member requirement and future meeting dates.
