Aquaneering Xenopus Aquatic System *SOLE SOURCE*
The purpose of this request is to procure an Aquaneering Xenopus Aquatic System. The Comparative Medicine Branch is requesting the purchase and installation of an Aquaneering Xenopus Housing Rack including all components and accessories necessary for normal operation for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The 3-shelf is purpose-built to house over 100 African-Clawed Frogs (Xenopus laevis). This unit provides four-stage filtration to remove water-based contaminants including ammonia and nitrate which are hazardous to aquatic species. A stainless-steel UV system is present providing pathogen control. Adjustable water flow rates allow precise water delivery to each tank or row of tanks. The system is designed to minimize required maintenance and cleaning to reduce operational costs. XS360-1521 Xenopus Housing Rack, 3-shelf. 60" 11524mm wide. Stainless steel construction, powder coat finish. 6 GPM Filtration System (Mechanical/Biological/Finishing) with 40 watt UV Sterilizer. Low water level shut off.
