NIST is conducting a Sources Sought market-research notice for equipment supporting an ultra-high-vacuum microscope on the SURF III EUV reflectometer beamline, including 10 UHV translation stages, 10 motion controller/amplifier units, and two 6-inch CFF electrical feed-through flanges. The draft requirements cover UHV operation at 10^-8 Torr or better, specified travel, encoder, and load performance, Ethernet and LabVIEW controller capabilities, and eight-axis feed-throughs. Interested parties were asked to email company, product, pricing, domestic-manufacture, and compliance information by September 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EDT; the notice states that it does not obligate NIST to award a contract and that no solicitation is currently available.
