Depot Window and Door Restoration. Work on this project shall include the following: Window sashes and doors will be labeled, removed for bench repairs, and transported to the shop; Any existing hardware will be removed and cleaned. Old putty on the sash will be softened and scraped away. The remaining glass panes will be labeled before removal and carefully removed and cleaned. Broken or missing glass will be replaced in-kind. The sash and doors will be carefully scraped and sanded. Any additional areas of rot or broken elements will be repaired using Dutchman repairs. Individual elements (other than the meeting rails) that have deteriorated beyond repair will be replaced in-kind. Replacement components will match the existing dimensions, profile, visual qualities, and material. Install weather stripping The windows will be reglazed, repainted, and reinstalled.
