The City of Dorris is soliciting sealed bids for the Wastewater Treatment & Collection Improvements project, which includes constructing a new wastewater treatment plant, rehabilitating an existing sewer lift station, replacing a pressure sewer main, and addressing problematic sewer main locations along with miscellaneous sewer system items. Bids are due at Dorris City Hall by 1:00 p.m. local time on March 4, 2026, when they will be publicly opened and read. The engineer’s estimate is approximately $4,950,000 and the work must be completed within 730 calendar days.

Includes rehabilitation and improvements to the existing wastewater treatment system, the sewage pumping system, and the sewer gravity system. Installation of new aerators at the wastewater treatment facility, levee repairs at the lagoon, chlorine contact chamber improvements, and membrane liner anchorage repairs for the base bid. The alternate bid work shall include sludge removal, dewatering, and disposal offsite, as well as pump station rehabilitation work and collection system rehabilitation.

Work includes comprehensive improvements to the lift station, the wastewater treatment plant (wwtp), and the sanitary sewer system. At the lift station, work will involve installing a new level transducer with associated electrical and controls, replacing the control panel, and adding a permanent natural gas generator with an automatic transfer switch. Additional upgrades include the installation of bollards, a new submersible pump, a precast concrete top on the wet well with a new access hatch and fall protection, and a davit crane for safe equipment handling. At the wwtp, the scope includes removing existing chlorine disinfection equipment, making minor structural modifications, and installing a new ultraviolet disinfection system.
