USSS Protective Equipment Vehicles - (Request for Quotation)

Description: Specific Tasks: Each vehicle will consist of a “medium duty truck” with a flatbed and integrated A-frame. The contractor shall procure and deliver upon completion six (6) vehicles that each meet all requirements as listed below. A Government developed preliminary design shown below in Picture 1. The Government shall approve the vehicles before purchase and the final outfit design before construction. Vehicle Procurement: Each vehicle shall have the following specifications: Medium duty truck chassis, similar to a Ford F-550/650 or Chevrolet 5500/6500 Cab color may be black or white, upon Government approval Gasoline or, diesel engine whichever best meets the needs for vehicle performance and weight bearing. Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) not to exceed 26,001 lbs. Maximum overall height, including retractable cover, not to exceed 9 F 9" Appropriate tie down points to pass United States Air Force cargo certification Ability to drive on and off United States Air Force C-17 and C-5 cargo planes without use of additional ramps or lift (The use of addition air lift systems on the frame or suspension to provide extra clearance is acceptable).
