Description: Imperial Irrigation District is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for the El Centro Generating Station Unit 4 Repowering Project. The work includes designing, procuring, constructing, testing, commissioning, and turning over a new 113 MW natural-gas-fired reciprocating internal combustion engine generating facility to replace the existing Unit 4 boiler. A mandatory meeting and jobwalk is scheduled for August 18, 2026, and proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. local time on October 21, 2026.
