Open RFPTransitional Living RFP
Description: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide high quality, safe and stable housing services for youth and young adults. The New Mexico Transitional Living for young adults program provides trauma responsive, developmentally appropriate, living environments and supportive services to transition aged young people ages seventeen to twenty-three, unless approved otherwise. The program promotes safety, youth choice, empowerment, skill development, stable housing, and long term wellbeing that may be delivered through one on one (individual) or group-based activities designed to foster positive youth development, strengthen resilience, and support the social, emotional, and academic well being of participating youth.
This program seeks to serve participants that may be eligible through CYFD Protective Services, Juvenile Justice Services, Tribal Child Welfare, Extended Foster Care, or as At-Risk youth with community approval. Admission and screening processes must be fair, consistent, youth centered, and explained in developmentally appropriate language.
This program aims to partner with contractors who are committed to empowering young people, strengthening families, and contributing to healthier, safer communities through meaningful relationships. Innovative approaches using evidence based, promising, or research-based programs are highly recommended and valued. CYFD further values innovative programs and projects that are unique in design or delivery to the State, city, or geographic area, as well as services that are not currently available within the targeted service area.
