Township Attorney (RFP)

Township Attorney generally includes providing legal work and representation of the Township generally as outlined in Township Code. The position of Township Attorney provides that, for a fixed annual salary or an hourly rate, the attorney shall perform the following: (a) Attendance at regularly and specially scheduled Township Council meetings,being approximately 24 regularly scheduled meetings and special meetings as required. (b)Conferences with the Township Administrator and other personnel in the Township involving services of a usual nature and not specifically set forth as Other Services as set forth in the Township Attorney contract. (c) Preparation of resolutions as directed by the Mayor, Township Council and/or Administrator. (e)Preparation of routine reports regarding the status of Township matters. (f) Preparation of Township ordinances of a usual general nature unless of a nature or extent described as other Services. (g) Routine review of correspondence, all Professional Service and other contracts, performance guarantees and files in relation to miscellaneous questions of a usual nature and not amounting to Other Services.
