The work includes raising approximately 5.2 miles of levee to meet the 2-percent level of risk reduction with crown elevations increased to roughly 17.21–17.71 ft (NAVD88), and major activities such as placement of earthen fill, installation of stability berms or deep material mixing, riprap placement on the riverbank, and demolition/replacement of roadway and slope paving. The notice is for market research only and indicates the government intends to issue a competitive firm-fixed-price contract; responses to the sources-sought are due January 23, 2026.
