Replace 4,000 ties on SBVR and gage installed tie
The West Virginia State Rail Authority, through the West Virginia Purchasing Division, is seeking qualified contractors to replace approximately 4,000 railroad crossties and surface track on the South Branch Valley Railroad. The work includes removing and disposing of existing ties, supplying and installing Grade 5 hardwood ties, re-spiking to a 56½-inch gauge, reapplying rail anchors, regulating ballast, and tamping.
