The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued a Special Notice (Procurement Identifier: NB643100-26-01509) seeking Photron-compatible high-speed video cameras to support synchronized quantitative analysis of ballistic and impact tests. NIST intends to pursue a sole-source acquisition with Tech Imaging Services, Inc. (Photron's authorized domestic distributor) under FAR Part 12.102(b); no formal solicitation package will be issued unless the Government elects to compete. Responses are requested by 1:00 AM EST on August 29, 2026, and the NIST Acquisition Management Division is the contracting office with listed contacts for inquiries.
