Routine services may include: repairing and adjusting doors, windows, locks, closers, exit hardware, weatherstripping, and related components; repairing drywall, plaster, ceilings, carpet tile, resilient flooring, base, ceramic tile, paint, stain, wall coverings, and other interior finishes; repairing, assembling, installing, relocating, and anchoring furniture, library shelving, book carts, cabinets, displays, signs, artwork, clocks, and similar items; repairing toilet partitions and installing or replacing restroom accessories; Replacing batteries in door counters, clocks, sensors, dispensers, security-system peripherals, and similar equipment; performing minor plumbing and mechanical maintenance that does not require a license, permit, refrigerant handling, or alteration of regulated systems; inspecting, cleaning, and completing minor repairs to gutters, downspouts, sealants, fencing, gates, flagpole equipment, outdoor furniture, and site furnishings; identifying and temporarily securing sidewalk hazards or other unsafe exterior conditions; moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and other authorized items within or between library facilities; performing seasonal tasks, including clock adjustments and minor weather-preparation work.
