THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TEFAP) AND FRESH PRODUCE INITIATIVE, AND STATE FUNDS FOR CIBOLA AND MCKINLEY COUNTY RFP

Description: The New Mexico Health Care Authority is soliciting proposals from Regional Emergency Feeding Organizations to administer USDA’s The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a state-funded fresh-produce initiative, and state food-assistance funds for Cibola and McKinley County. The selected contractor will receive, store, and distribute USDA commodities; purchase, package, and deliver fresh produce; maintain records; and submit quarterly performance and financial reports. The contract includes a one-year base term with up to five one-year extensions, requires a fidelity bond of at least 25% of the contract value, and requires attendance at the mandatory pre-proposal conference on August 31, 2026.
