Term Agreement for Bridge Design Support Services Albany & Syracuse Divisions RFP

Description: Seeking to retain a qualified engineering firm to provide bridge design services in the Albany and Syracuse Divisions. Consist of (1950s/1960s) multi-span steel girder bridges with concrete decks. Projects will primarily include rehabilitation, preservation, repair, retrofit, or replacement of existing bridges and other transportation structures. Construction staging and traffic control to minimize traffic disruptions will be a major component of the design. Projects may include, but are not limited to: bridge rehabilitation including steel repairs, bearing replacement, deck replacement, superstructure replacement, substructure repairs, structural strengthening, joint replacement, and miscellaneous repairs; mainline or overhead bridge replacement; bridge preservation and preventive maintenance projects; seismic rehabilitation/retrofit; load rating, structural evaluation, and load posting mitigation; slope stabilization, retaining walls, excavation support systems, and geotechnical improvements; hydraulic and scour countermeasure projects; temporary structures and temporary works; emergency repairs; overhead sign structures and sign support systems; maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) designs and construction staging. Contract term: Three (3) years with the option to extend two (2) additional one (1) years.
