The work includes but is not limited to post a warning sign; install confined space entry signs; and fall protection required signs; clear and tighten around anchor nuts and bolts, tack weld on the circumference of the nut-to-base plate connections and bolt-to-nut connections; provide the tank access ladder with anti-skid rungs; install a standoff every 10 feet on center, a cable type ladder safety device, and a lockable ladder guard; remove stay rod bands and replace the bands with clips, reattach the stay rods to the riser clips, then adjust the stay rods to withstand 100 mph winds blowing from any direction; equip the tank balcony with an intermediate rail; install an intermediate rail and a swing gate at the opening in the handrail at the junction of the tower access ladder and structural girder; provide additional weep holes to prevent ponding on the balcony floor; install two (2) 30-inch manway shells, 180 degrees apart; install davit slides on both shall manways, install compliant interior bowl access ladders complete with standoffs every 10 feet on center at the primary and secondary shell manways with cable type ladder safety devices; install a swing gate at the junction of the shell-to-knuckle roof access ladder and tank roof; install a cable type ladder safety device on the primary interior access ladders; modify with anti-skid rungs; and pressure wash the tank exterior at 3,500 psi; prepare and properly coat all new steel components to match existing tank, remove sludge from the tank interior and provide interior disinfection.
