Strategic Cluster Value Chain Analysis

Description: MEDC is searching for a contractor to develop a source-supported, establishment-level inventory of businesses and economic assets associated with Automotive Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, and Energy & Grid Components. The contractor will classify assets by value-chain function, capabilities, technologies, markets, geography, and participation status, and document each cluster’s principal value chains, Michigan participants, dependencies, and cross-cluster or transferable capabilities. Deliverables will primarily be standardized, analysis-ready datasets, taxonomies, crosswalks, and documentation; the project is planned for two months with a budget of $50,000 or less, and completed quotes are due by 12:00 p.m. ET on September 23, 2026.
