SMART START in Surry County intends to become invested in programs that: Offer support and education toparents of young children 0-5. Improve the health of young children 0-5. Improve the quality of childcare. Make childcare more affordable and accessible, and Unify and mobilize resources for families of young children 0-5. Provide economic support for low income families. Ensure that young children 0-5 are safe from violence. Upgrade the delivery of services for young children 0-5. Educate the community about the value of early services for young children 0-5. Enhance mental health and early intervention services.

Services that Support Attractions in Mason County (Request for Proposals)
Requesting proposals from qualified individuals for additional services that support attractions in County. Attractions shall be provided at locations throughout County that are in a high-traffic location easily accessible to visitors, provide convenient ingress and egress, high visibility, are on major tourist transportation corridors, and offer a clean, welcoming environment. Contractors must develop, maintain, and promote exhibits or experiences that are relevant to County's and historical heritage. Facilities should be accessible, well-maintained, and provide a welcoming environment for visitors. Contracts must participate in advocacy and training workshops led by the Director of Tourism Development to ensure staff and/or volunteers are equipped to act as tourism ambassadors for County and ensure alignment in messaging, tourism strategy, and visitor engagement practices across all touchpoints. Attractions and museums must meet with the Director of Tourism Development bimonthly to amplify their reach and align with broader tourism messaging.
