Description: Butte County is soliciting competitive bids for a five-year emergency-response contract to provide sand and transfer trucking services throughout the county during declared emergencies or disasters. The contractor must be able to deliver up to 40 truckloads within the first 48 hours of a call, respond within two hours, and serve both valley and mountainous areas. Pricing is firm for the first three years with limited annual escalation thereafter, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced qualified supplier or suppliers.
